Overview

As Aotearoa's first and only dedicated Te Reo Māori Afterschool Care and Te Reo Māori Holiday Programme. We wish to create a supportive environment for our whānau, our mātua, our rangatahi and especially our tamariki. With the normalisation and integration of Te Ao Māori into our modern lives.
Our kaupapa is to utilise what our tūpuna did before us. Kura Kārearea embraces the tuākana tēina model. Proven by generations before us. This whānau centric approach is natural within Te Ao Māori and at the forefront of who we are and what we pass on to our tamariki.
Being in Te Arawa, Kura Kārearea is based on Ngāti Whakaue mita. Through rest & recreation, we will explore our many Te Arawa purakau and have our tamariki draw on these for inspiration.
